I Made $200 on Fiverr In My First 4 Weeks

Written By: Deanna

Recently, I republished my list of 101 in 1001 and one of the things on it was to start a Fiverr account. I decided to make it a challenge, because I freakin' love challenges. So, the challenge was to make $100 on Fiverr. I thought it would take two or three months, but as you can tell by the post, I made $200 in four weeks. Crazy, right?

I'll be honest, I can't believe I did it. I've read lost of blog posts about Fiverr and it seems like some people have some wonderful experience with it, but I mean... I'm a normal person - I couldn't get lucky, could I? I would consider this very lucky, and I'm very thankful.

Now, let's jump right into this. Here is a list of all the gigs I had up, along with how many sales I got.

Writing Blog Post: 0

Sent out 25 book review requests: 14

Plot novel for you: 1

Promote book on Goodreads: 4

Gain your blog views: 0

Custom gig: 2 (both variations of review requests)

Offered but did not take: 6 most were not something I felt I could do, all were blog post related

As you can tell, there was one very popular winner. Book review requests. I did most of my work part time while watching TV and I worked about 18 days of the month. Not too bad, eh? But, now we are into a new month, and I can't wait to start keeping track of everything so that I can keep you guys updated and give you more details. Along with screen shots!

But first, here's a quick Q&A since I've been getting so many questions!

What made you decide to do this?

I wanted a little extra money! Basically, that was it. I thought it would make an interesting blog post as well. Turns out, I was right. And I'm $200 richer!

How much did you put into it?

Money wise. Nothing. That's right, I didn't put any money into this, I just focused on stuff I could do for free.

Did you do a lot of marketing? How?

I did a little Twittering about my gigs, but that was it.

Advice for starting?

Just go for it. It's the best way you will learn! Fiverr isn't too tricky to navigate, so you should be fine, and if you're not... keep at it until you understand it. Then, make a new account if you want!

  3. Great job. I've been wanting to try out Fiverr again. I did a few gigs for them a couple years ago and I buy gigs all the time.

    1. I love buying from there! You often get really good content for what you pay (including tip!) What did you sell on there? I'd love to hear how it went for you!
