Who's ready for Day 3? How's everyone feeling? Are some of your muscles talking back to you yet? Don't forget to do some stretching after each of your workouts. This will allow your muscles to become leaner and stronger. If you need a rest day, take it. Listen to your body.
Day 3 - Rest Day
Building recovery time into any training program is important because this is the time that the body adapts to the stress of your exercises and the real training effects take place. Recover also allows the body to replenish energy, stores and repairs damaged tissues.
My rest days still include workouts, but I do some much needed stretching to help my muscles recover from my last few days of workouts - both light and intense.
Take this time to find a YouTube video on maternity yoga/meditation. Even if you aren't pregnant, these poses will help you stretch muscles you didn't know you had. It will help you relax and eventually, through repetition help you sleep better throughout the night.
